Won’t use them

I was so excited to use these, but unfortunately the screws to change from a mono to dual front point configuration do not come off. 8 people have all tried to unscrew with no success. Even no luck with a power drill. Disappointed. Crampons won’t get used in mono configuration. Will stick to other brands.

Hello Lachlan,

We’re sorry to hear about the issue with your crampons. Please contact our warranty service at warranty.eu@blueice.com, and they will be happy to assist you quickly.

Thank you for your understanding,
The Blue Ice Team

perfect for technical long ascents

I bought it for technical 6000ers. For me the best choice for that.

Very impressive piece of engineering!

With a mono point and toe basket setup it weighs 350g each (700g both +30g bag), so slightly more than described. Packs incredibly small! These crampons are very well made, it took some effort in changing the front basket (as it should). Very sharp out of the box. Adjusting wasn’t that hard as expected, just followed the instructions and left ~15mm of the heel for extension, and the rear rail just popped on. The strap with a buckle is also amazing! The crampons handle well on flat ice and snow, looking forward to abusing them more on vertical ice and rock. I'm most impressed by the level of attention given to details, even for folding and carrying them properly. So far 10/10. Thanks for an amazing piece of engineering, Blue Ice!

Fitting issue

The rare rail is just too narrow. My boots size is 46. I think the concept is good, but I didn't expect the fitting will have such issue.
