Description

From classic climbs to Himalayan expeditions, Harfang crampons combine the performance and reliability required for the most demanding environments.

The Harfang Alpine Hybrid are the ideal 12-point crampons for classic mountaineering when performance and lightness are essential.

With the steel front and the aluminum rear, the hybrid version is optimal for the variable and moderate terrain of classic mountaineering routes. The steel front points guarantee excellent grip on all snow and the aluminum rear rail ensures minimal weight. The front and rear rails of the crampon are equipped with an anti-balling system. The front rail is asymmetrical to give a better balance. In line with the Harfang family, its patented system based on a central textile strap connecting the front and rear part makes the crampon ultra-compact.

To make it compatible with ski boots, add the standard toe bail, sold separately.

Note: The ankle strap does not have an end stop. Please tie a knot to prevent it from coming loose or being lost.

Comes with:

Automatic compact toe bail and semi-auto toe basket

Good lite product but toe bail situation is a joke.

First of all it is a nice lite hybrid product. But! It comes with toe bails that are not compatible with ski boots. There is nowhere you can get this info other than user forums. Even if you go and buy large spare toe bails, you'll have a fun time replacing them. Bails are so stiff and rigid you'll need a proper steel works shop to do it.

Hello Ilya,

Thank you for your feedback. We would like to clarify that the information regarding the HARFANG Alpine Hybrid is clearly stated on the product page.

This model is supplied with the Compact Toe Bail system, and this information is mentioned in the product description, in the technical details section.

Indeed, if you wish to adapt your crampons to certain ski boots, it is necessary to purchase a Standard Toe Bail as a spare part. A dedicated video, titled “HOW TO SWAP YOUR HARFANG CRAMPONS”, is also available below the product page and explains step by step how to replace the toe bails.

We understand that this operation may require some force. However, this rigidity is intentional, as it is essential to ensure a secure and reliable fit during use. By following the dedicated tutorial, the replacement can be carried out without the need for a metalworking workshop or specialized equipment.

also bad customer service

are you sure? standard toe is for ski boots?
you contradict yourselves in one website! it is misleading advertising

Thank you for your message. Have a good day !

You will find at risk they they sold them with no propped ski boots toe bail

sad and recovering after facing a magestic fall
It is for real that the toe bail they are sold with it is not accurate for ski boots.
why you offered a product for mountaineering with out ski boot attachment? really why?
where to buy it ,? you call it standard toe bail and you don’t pack it with the crampon ? , Even more …in the spare part season the picture of the standard toe (for ski boot) is actually the compact (not for ski boot) !how come !
my problem : i trusted in the brand and bought two pairs (me & and my partner)
what a disappointment!!

Hello Juan,
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback.
To fit the product on ski boots or mountaineering boots with a toe welt, you’ll need an additional spare part called the standard toe bail, which is available in the “spare parts” section of our website.

We hope this will help you make the most of your equipment, and of course we remain at your disposal if you need any further assistance.

Best regards,

Good light and compact crampons

Very good crampons for normal use. The connecting band must be readjusted after use...I lost the crampons several times afrer first use but this was solved by readjustment.

Harfang Alpine Hybrid crampons automatic closure

I bought the Harfang Alpine Hybrid crampons and I was surprised to see that the compact toe bail sold with the Alpine Hybrid crampons is not suitable for use with ski boots . I see that there is another type of attack "standard toe rail" which is not possible to buy form your web site . I hope that you find a solution.
