Production Manager

Ensures all productions are delivered on time and meet quality standards from assigned factories.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Monitors work in progress reports with factories and ensures timely communication with sales team about orders, production status and logistics
  • Manages in house production (method engineering)
  • Manages in house mechanical machines
  • Implements quality control procedures to reach quality standards and coordinates action plans with sourcing director and quality manager
  • Manages and is responsible for the production part of the ERP system

Significant activities:

  • Places orders to the different partners, components & finished goods. Maintains the quantities based on the forecasts and orders, stock accuracy
  • Ensures the suitable quantities in stock compared to sales/stock value
  • Updates work in progress reports (WIP)
  • Monitors inspection reports between factories and Chamonix base
  • Contributes and adapts all quality tools for each vendor, implements Standard Of Operation (SOP) to educate our production partners
  • Assists quality claims for defective products when necessary
  • Maintains positive vendor relationship via regular communication and participation
  • Participates on the documentation and all data storage
  • Follows up production status and shipment, components and final goods logistics

Senior Design Engineer

BLUE ICE is seeking an experienced mechanical design engineer to join our small team located in Salt Lake City.  Successful candidates must have a robust background in mechanical design, especially consumer product design.  Experience in the entire process of product design is necessary; from project scoping, concepting, building prototypes, solid modeling, analysis, testing, and commercialization.  Must be a self-starter and be able to bring novel thinking to all aspects of their work.


  • Demonstrated portfolio of designing and commercializing innovative consumer products
  • Exceptional CAD skills (Solidworks preferred) including advanced surfacing
  • Robust drafting skills per ASME standards
  • Proficiently read and write GD&T to ASME Y14.5
  • Previous experience incorporating Industrial Design into mechanical designs
  • Brings a DFM mindset to improve manufacturability throughout the design process
  • FEA experience including nonlinear material and contact problems
  • High competency with MS Office, particularly Excel
  • Experience within Quality systems supporting regulated industries
  • Data-driven decision maker using the scientific method
  • Self-learner and inquisitive­–always optimizing their personal and the organization’s processes
  • Familiar with the practice of LEAN Product Development
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills and the ability to work effectively as a team member.
  • Comfortable in a dynamic working environment with a high amount of change
  • Able to mentor junior engineers

Master’s (preferred) degree in Mechanical Engineering and 10 years of experience.
