The main fabric of the Double Mono is a 500D CORDURA®, whereas an even more resistant, 1000D CORDURA®, is used for the bottom. Since the bottom often wears out faster than the rest of the pack, being put on the ground and supporting the load, working with another fabric at this part is a clever and easy way to deal with that potential problem. Backpack and gearsling for long technical climbs.
Design & Features:
The Double Mono was designed with big walls and long climbs in mind where you need a gear sling and a small backpack to carry all your equipment. The 12L main volume is removable and can be accessed at the belay stations without taking the shoulder straps off. 12 L is an ideal volume on the wall when all you need is a wind breaker, water and a pair of shoes for the descent.
Additional practical features of the double mono are the side pockets and the helmet holder that is hidden in the bottom of the pack. The helmet holder saves space in the pack and adds comfort during the approach, the side pockets are ideal for keeping a power bar or two at hand during the climb.
