Olivier Francois is a great young alpinist, rope technician (working on high elevation renovating chalets) and one of our most passionate ice climbers. He discovered his passion for climbing and the mountains together with his parents in the surroundings of Briancon. I used crampons for the first time together with my dad, after that I have continued to live my dream with my friends.
A little bit of history: in 2005 Olivier did his first 8a sport climbing, in 2006 he entered the young talents team of CAF Isère and in 2009 Olivier was selected for the group of French young alpinists, ENAM, FFME*. With the team Olivier enjoys a lot of travelling, training and a lot of good times in good company.
...likes: opening routes, crampons, dry tooling, bacon bread, la meije...
...doesn’t like: long approaches & getting wet...
