Luca Rolli, our most daring skier, is a mountain guide with a degree in Industrial Design, found on the italian side of Mt Blanc, Courmayeur.

Born in Parma, the “flatlands” as he says, he dreamt of living in a place with unlimited access to rocks, ice and steep terrain. Eventually, when he was old enough to decide for himself, he said to his mum: Ciao, I go climbing”. “She probably didn’t even know what climbing meant. ...luckily, because otherwise she would probably have had the idea to stop me.

Later, being installed in Courmayeur, climbing turned into iceclimbing and skiing (as most of us know it) was exchanged for steep ascents and unrepeated lines. Luca refers to skiing as the the ultimate freedom. Skiing means going wherever you want, whenever you want, it's my life and my future. To ski extreme demands an incomparable presence, you need to focus so hard it stays unforgettable in your mind.

When we ask if he ever feels fear he simply says, You can be afraid before doing something big. Once you step in the slope, you know you’ll do it, there is no more fear. Keep an eye on him. He is wild.
