Reading the mountains and understanding the conditions as well as yourself, are parts of the challenges that Krister Jonsson, ice climber and mountain guide from Sweden, enjoys within alpinism. There’s nothing that puts your whole individual on test as the mountains he says. You need to know your limits and strengths to progress, and you need character and creativity to be able to go beyond what you thought was possible…

With his company, Alpine Madness, he has been climbing, skiing & putting up ropes in most of the continents, from the north of Sweden and Norway, to the Alps, Africa and Greenland. He is regularly off on expeditions and climbing trips, and when we saw him last time he was just heading north for two weeks of haute route in Kebnekaise, Sweden. At the same time he is preparing for his next expedition, Mustagh-Ata.

He has a ticklist that makes most of us dream, for a full view visit his sites. To give you an idea we’ll list a few of the summits, expeditions and climbs that he has realized that last years.
