We first met Fanny & her friends in la Grave, at Rencontres Expé, a reunion for exchanging ideas about taking off on expedition. Fanny told us about their planned trip to Lapland, using the most environmental friendly means of transport (train) and discovering the Kebnekaise massif on skis. What struck us was not the extreme challenge, the massive amount of planned km to undertake or the thrill of freezing nights in a tipi... No, we simply liked the idea of realizing an adventurous trip, with sustainable means. A doable adventure for many of us, still realized by a very few.

Our April challenge WIN A WEEKEND WITH A GUIDE is the extended version of the already existing PIX of the month. Same concept, but, for the month of April 2011 we are adding a bit of value in the challenge and will give away a WEEKEND WITH GUIDE to the winner.

To participate, all you need to do is to send us a high resolution photo and let us know why you like it & where it was taken. All photos need to be related to rock or ice climbing, ski touring or mountaineering and you need to be willing and able to spend a weekend in the mountains.

What: high res photo of rock or ice climbing, ski touring or mountaineering
Date: photos & description to be sent between march 25 and april 25 2011.
Win: a weekend with a guide, rock climbing or alpinism. (in the dept. 74, France. Massif Mt Blanc, Aravis...)
When: valid during the month of May 2011 or October 2011.
For: valid for you & a friend! (minimum age 18)
Photo: you must be the author of the picture and hold its copyrights. We might use your picture for our communication material such as website, facebook page or catalog, for that reason: send high resolution! For the credits, your name will remain.

Equipment: Blue Ice will equip you with one backpack each. Before the trip the guide will let you know what you need. Be prepared to have suitable boots, climbing shoes. Also be prepared for that we will film and shoot during the weekend!

Attention: the price covers the 2 day fee for the guide.(for a value of 620 euro)

All additional costs such as transportation, lodging & food during the weekend, are not included. Please be prepared to show valid insurance before taking off with the guide. Blue Ice does not cover any other costs than the guiding fee. Blue Ice is not responsible for any eventual consequences during the weekend activity.
